Because small and medium manufacturing enterprises form the backbone of a modern and healthy economy, the Industrial Research Institute has elaborated a strategy for business service diversification to assist SMEs in meeting the technical and technological challenges that are imposed by increased globalization.

As such, IRI is proud to anchor the Euro-Lebanese Centre for Industrial Modernisation –ELCIM– co-funded by the European Commission (EC). ELCIM provides a unique opportunity for knowledge transfer between Europe and Lebanon. Consequently, IRI is confident that Lebanese manufacturing SMEs will make use of the Centre’s useful and varied services to improve their businesses and increase their exports.
